The cloth is cotton-rich stretch denim, with enough body to hold the cut and enough give to sit, walk and bend without pulling. A zip and button secure the waist, and the hem is left raw so it frays into a fine fringe as the day goes on. Sanding and light distressing at the seams add texture up close.
