Base goes on softer when the tool is right. This little egg-shaped sponge presses liquid and cream formulas into the skin rather than dragging across it, leaving a finish that looks blended rather than applied.
Dampen it and the sponge swells, turning light and springy in the hand so it reaches the curves of the cheek, the sides of the nose and the hollow under the eye. Used dry, it picks up more product for fuller coverage in one pass. The hydrophilic texture stays supple through repeated squeezing and rinsing.
It comes with a small vented rack, so the sponge sits in open air after washing instead of in a closed case. A practical pairing for anyone building a kit, travelling light, or simply wanting one tool that handles foundation, concealer and cream blush.

How to use
Wet the sponge under running water and squeeze out the excess until it feels damp rather than dripping, then bounce it over foundation or concealer with light tapping motions. For heavier coverage, use it dry. Rinse with mild soap after each use, press out the water in a towel and leave it on the rack to air dry fully before the next application.
