Over-the-Knee Plain Knit Stockings

Cold mornings ask for a little more coverage. These stockings draw a clean, unbroken line from the foot to above the knee, knitted in a plain jacquard that keeps the surface smooth and the fit close to the leg.

The acrylic yarn has a soft, dry hand and enough substance to hold its shape as you move. Double-needle construction gives the knit an even finish, so the stockings sit flat beneath a skirt, a dress or a pair of boots.

Two lengths are available: 85 cm and 105 cm, each with a 25 cm foot. Seven shades run from black and white through red, light gray, dark gray and wine red to pink, so they can read as a quiet neutral layer or a deliberate flash of color at the hem.

Wear them with a knee-length skirt and loafers, or under trousers on a day that starts cold. The longer length reaches further up the thigh when you want more coverage.
