A dress with a little architecture to it. Two narrow suspender straps drop from the shoulders into a low waistband that rests on the hips, and the short skirt falls straight from there in one clean line.
The polyester feels smooth and cool against the skin and holds its shape as you move, so the skirt keeps its edge through a long evening rather than collapsing into creases. Solid colour throughout, no print to distract from the line.
Black reads sharpest after dark with fine jewellery and a strappy sandal. Red is the one for a birthday table or a warm-weather party. Yellow brings it into daylight with a flat sandal and a woven bag. Note that the sizing runs small against US and EU sizing, so take the larger of two sizes and check the size chart before you choose.

How to use
The low waist sits on the hips rather than the natural waist, so check the size chart and take the larger size if you fall between two. It works with a fitted knit beneath in cooler weather, or on its own with a strappy sandal for a warm evening. Wash cold and let it dry flat to hold the line of the skirt.
