A wide elasticated waistband sits high on the waist and holds without digging or rolling, keeping the line from waist to hip smooth. The full-length leg is cut close, following the shape of the leg and finishing clean at the ankle.

Two finishes: a velvet-lined black with a soft brushed interior for cold mornings, and an unlined black that stays light under a dress or a long shirt. Take the lined pair through winter with a chunky knit and boots, the unlined pair with a blazer and heels after dark.

Sizing runs smaller than US and EU charts, so compare the waist and hip measurements before you choose; if you fall between two sizes, take the larger. Allow 2-3 cm for manual measurement.

The cut is close and stretchy, so take your usual size and go up if you sit between two. Compare the waist and hip measurements with a pair you already own, allowing 2-3 cm for manual measurement. Wear the velvet-lined version with an oversized sweater and boots on cold days, and the unlined pair under a long blazer or dress for evening.
