Akoya Pearl and 14K Gold Adjustable Bracelet

A single pearl rests against the wrist, held by a fine line of 14K gold punctuated with small gold beads. Light moves across the pearl in a bright, glassy sheen, and each one carries the faint natural variations of a pearl grown in water.

The gold beads sit over silicone, so they slide to shorten or lengthen the fit up to 20cm and then stay where you set them. It slips on in a moment and needs no adjusting once it is on.

Japanese Akoya seawater pearls of 8-8.5mm give the piece its presence, and a freshwater alternative is offered in a slightly larger, near-round pearl. The profile stays low and elegant at the wrist, which is why it reads as well with a plain white shirt on a Tuesday as with silk at a wedding.

For a birthday, a thank you or a quiet anniversary, it arrives in a paper box. Wear it alone on a bare wrist, or stack it with a slim watch and a fine chain.
